mujería

„mujería“ – a Flamenco performance which is as young, dynamic, graceful and captivating as the two dancers Raphaela Stern and Sarah Marleen themselves.

Raphaela Stern and Sarah Marleen have been trained together in Sevilla at the Fundación Cristina Heeren de Arte de Flamenco and other places.
They now present their third Flamenco programme in Germany.

In „,mujería“ the two Flamenco dancers show a performance – whether together or solo – that may be sensuous and playful at times or spirited and energetic at other times, but it is always feminine, authentic and honest.

The focal point of the show is two young artists’ dance and they are accompanied by the outstanding singers „El Niño de Elche“ (Sevilla), Rosi Navarro „La Divi“ (Málaga) and the guitar player Javier Gomez (Madrid).

The programme “mujería” – full of variety yet leaving room for improvisation – promises an exciting evening in complete dedication to the dance.

Artists:
Raphaela Stern – dance
Sarah Marleen – dance
Rosi Navarro „La Divi“ – vocals
El Niño de Elche – vocals
Javier Gomez – guitar

alma flamenca

The three young flamenco dancers Antonio Arrebola, Sarah Marleen and Raphaela Stern met in Sevilla.

It was there in 2006 that they conceived the idea to start a flamenco project together, which would combine their different styles of dancing and expressing themselves through their beloved art form of Flamenco.

ritmo nocturno

The Night is a source of inspiration for artists since the dawn of time. Night and Darkness become magic through dance.

In the new show of the successful Flamenco project alma flamenca, "ritmo nocturno" the artists turn the nights of their lives into dance: nights full of exuberance, lonesomeness, passion, music and love.

Antonio dances the sweetness of the night with melancholy and tragedy. Inspired by the darkness he is accompanied by the powerful voice of Juanillo. As a counterpoint, the gracile dancers Sarah Marleen and Raphaela Stern are accompanied by the clear voice of Rosi la Divi. .

Sarah Marleen puts the sunrise into dance, full of overflowing joy and clarity. Raphaela Stern dances the dusk with elegant lightness, before the darkness returns and Antonio Arrebola celebrates the night again with a climax of emotion.

At select nights in the course of their tour alma flamenca is going to feature the Johannes Haage trio penumbra. The improvising musicians build a bridge from the traditional flamenco to urban contemporary jazz.

Drummer Diego Pinera from Uruguay contributes the hot rhythms of his southamerican home. With the warm basslines of double bassist Marcel Kroemker and the modern guitar sound of Johannes Haage trio penumbra creates an antipole to alma flamenca.

Let the magic and power of this honest and authentic art take you on a journey into the night of Flamenco. Immerse into the dark of the Theatre and let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of the night.
